ASPIRE KCACTF/LORT ARTS LEADERSHIP INTENSIVE
The KCACTF/LORT ASPIRE Leadership Intensive is designed to cultivate a new generation of artistic and administrative leaders for the American Theatre with a focus on engaging people of color, women, and members of other groups that are consistently underrepresented in the field. One student from Region 5 will be selected to attend the National Festival in April to engage in topics concerning Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as well as a dynamic week-long curriculum designed to explore leadership in the performing arts, investigate institutional challenges in the profession, and create professional networking opportunities in the field. DIRECTING INTENSIVE
One of the many aims of KCACTF is to nurture the next generation of stage directors. To attain that goal, there are several opportunities for young directors at the Region 5 Festival to foster their growth as a director no matter their experience level.
MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE
Region 5 is thrilled to again offer the Musical Theatre Intensive at Festival 51 in Sioux Falls, SD. The goal of the Intensive is to celebrate and recognize outstanding musical theatre students within Region 5 and offer educational opportunities to work with musical theatre professionals. Selected performers will participate in a cabaret performance to be held at the end of the week. Entry deadline, January 11
INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS
The Intensive Workshops are longer sessions of hands-on workshops ranging from three hours to multiple days. You may participate in more than one intensive presuming that they do not conflict and depending upon overall demand. Intensive Workshops for Festival 51 have not been announced.
