DIRECTING INTENSIVE WORKSHOP
Directing a play requires a myriad of skills:  actor coaching, storytelling, composition, and managing rehearsals, among many others.  In this two-day intensive workshop, we will explore what it takes to direct a play through a series of hands-on exercises. You must commit to both days if you choose to sign up for this workshop as you will have exercises to complete for the second workshop.

A COMPLETE APPLICATION CONSISTS OF:
  1. A completed entry form that includes a statement of intent and a list of your training and experience in directing. ALL INFORMATION SHOULD BE ENTERED IN ENTRY FORM.
  2. Statement of intent should explain your interest in directing in your future and confirming your intent to attend the Region 5 Festival, including all the requisite workshop meetings and activities.

Possible topics may include:
Working with actors
Staging/composition
Storytelling
Rehearsal schedules, pre-work, analysis
Director/Designer collaboration

Please sign up for the Directing Intensive by December 15, 2025.
Attendance is limited and only students who apply in advance will be guaranteed a slot.
