PORTFOLIO REVIEW (DESIGN AND

TECHNICAL AREAS)

Coordinator, Benji Inniger; [email protected]
Students are invited to share in a portfolio review session at the festival. Each participating student will be assigned a 15-minute time slot to present their portfolio and receive feedback from a panel of theatre professionals and academics.
  • Entry is open to any student who is ready with a presentable portfolio in any design/technical discipline, but priority will be given to upperclassmen or individuals closer to their expected graduation date.
  • This event is for students in any area of design/technical theatre.
  • Time slots will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • A waiting list will be kept if all time slots are filled and in the event that any become available.

Deadline to enter is January 10, 2020.
PORTFOLIO REVIEW CRITERIA AND PREPARATION TIPS
  • Each student must provide all of their own portfolio materials. Digital portfolios are encouraged, but the student must provide the computer, tablet, headphones, or any other equipment necessary to present their portfolio.

  • Each student should present their portfolio in a format that best represents the process and outcomes of his/her work. This may be in a physical or digital format.

  • Each participant should come prepared with their best "elevator speech" of their work. In other words, present to the respondents in 3-5 minutes the best examples of his/her work highlighting how these projects developed and how it may have shaped his/her future career goals.

  • The remainder of the 15 minutes will be for questions and/or discussion with the respondents.
Thank you! We look forward to meeting you in Sioux Falls!
