Region 5 wants to ensure a safe and healthy festival for all participants. Please consider the following best practices!

Before the Festival

  • Get vaccinated and/or boosted against COVID-19 and the Flu

  • Please do not travel to Des Moines if you are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19 or the Flu.

  • Pack warm clothing, including a coat/jacket, hat, and gloves. 

At the Festival

  •  Please refrain from wearing strong fragrances while at the festival

  • To help prevent illness, wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer if handwashing is not available

  • Please wear a face mask if you begin to have any symptoms of illness
    ​
  • IF YOU BECOME ILL (COVID-19, FLU, etc.) WHILE AT THE FESTIVAL:
    • Do NOT attend any festival in-person events.
    • Isolate as much as possible. If you absolutely must come into contact with others, wear a face mask.
    • Please email the coordinator of any events you are scheduled to participate in. Your event coordinator will provide guidance on how to handle your participation in that event.
