Greetings Playwrights!

As the NPP Chair for Region V, I would like to welcome you to the KCACTF Region V website for Playwriting.

This site has a great deal of information for you in order to make the submission process as simple as possible. Make sure you read all the information as many of the submission procedures are new.

I would suggest that you go to “General Rules for Submission” first.  This document should answer most of your general questions about submitting plays.

Once you have decided on the type of play to submit, you can go to “Ten-Minute Plays,” “One-Act Plays,” and Full-Length Plays” for more specific details.  All submissions this year will be electronic and will require a “cover sheet.”  You can also find the appropriate cover sheet for each category.

Region V of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival is pleased and excited to sponsor the many playwriting opportunities for all of you in our region.

One of the goals of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival is to encourage colleges and universities to give distinguished productions of new plays, especially those written by students; the classics, revitalized or newly conceived; and experimental works.
If you cannot find the answer to your question, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Start writing and submit your work to the festival!
