Actor Callbacks/Technical Interviews: 

    Wednesday, January 22 8AM-2PM

 

On-line registration will be open until Monday, January 13.

THERE WILL BE NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION.

AUDITION GUIDELINES

·         Auditions will be limited to two minutes and a timekeeper will be present.

·         Actors should prepare EITHER two contrasting monologues OR one monologue and 16-20 bars of a song. You are NOT required to sing unless you are seeking musical theatre employment.

·         Actors interested in companies producing classical works should include a classical/verse monologue as part of audition package.  NOTE:  ALL AUDITIONS, INCLUDING CLASSICAL, WILL BE HELD IN THE SAME AUDITION ROOM. 

·         An accompanist will be provided.

·         Actors may use his/her own accompanist if desired.

·         Singing to CD accompaniment or a cappella singing will NOT be permitted.

·         Bring 10-12 copies of headshot/resume for potential distribution at callbacks.

·         Producers may ask for additional material as part of the callback process.

·         Producers MAY choose to hold separate dance callbacks.  If you are a dancer or actor who moves well – please bring appropriate attire in the event you are asked to dance.

 

 

TECHNICAL INTERVIEW GUIDELINES

 Technical interviews will take place:

Wednesday, January 22 8 AM – 2 PM*

*some producers may schedule interviews on Tuesday, January 21 – sign-ups will be available at check-in on Sunday, January 19.

•Interview procedure is at the discretion of each producing company.

•Not all companies will be present for the entirety of these scheduled times.

•Some companies conduct group interviews.

•Some companies require applicants to sign-up for individual time slots.

•All applicants should bring resume/portfolio materials for potential presentation.

 

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

 A valid faculty mentor email address MUST be listed on the registration form.  This person will be asked to verify, via email:

 That you are a bona fide student according to KCACTF standards and that he/she has worked with you on audition and/or interview materials. 

 Upon successful completion of the registration process, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

 YOU MUST BRING THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL WITH YOU AS PART OF THE ON-SITE CHECK IN PROCESS.  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT THIS CONFIRMATION EMAIL.    Electronic or hard copies are acceptable.

 All participants must check-in on Sunday, January 19 in order to ensure your audition/interview time.

 Check-in time is 3-6:50PM

 (If you arrive to the festival later than this, an alternate check-in time will be provided after the festival orientation meeting.)
