Faculty Directing Showcase
For junior and senior faculty seeking an opportunity to challenge themselves, hone skills, develop process and mentor student directors. Faculty directors must submit an application with supporting materials in advance. Faculty in this program will receive a 5 minute scene no later than January 1, 2008, to direct during the festival. They will be assigned a student director and a stage manager. Faculty must submit an application with all required supporting materials by December 1 in order to be considered for this opportunity. Selection from among the regional pool of applicants will be limited to eight candidates. Materials will be reviewed by a team of directing professionals/educators, who will recommend a slate of participants to the Region V Executive Committee who will confirm the final list of participants. A complete application consists of:
1 - Letter of intent explaining why you want to participate and how you think the experience will benefit you and your career. Include name, all contact information, and affiliated institution.
2 - Statement of intent to attend the entire Region V Festival held in Council Bluffs/Omaha from January 20-26, 2008, attending the requisite meetings, auditions and rehearsals throughout the week.
3 - A resume that focuses on your training and experience in directing.

Important Reminder: Application materials must be submitted electronically or received no later than December 1, 2007. Electronic submissions are required, and a confirmation of receipt of your application will be provided. Please do not assume your application has been received and accepted unless you receive electronic confirmation. Note that if your attachments do not open we cannot declare the submission received. Leave enough time to make sure email submissions are successfully received by the deadline.
